'Lakeview' tops modest weekend/New releases open to mixed results
Sony/Screen Gem's Samuel L. Jackson thriller "Lakeview Terrace" easily debuted to No. 1 at the weekend box office, while Focus Features' "Burn After Reading" continued to fan the flames in its sophomore sesh (Go Coens GO!).
The Coen brothers' "Burn" came in second, declining a slim 41% to an estimated $11.3 million from 2,657 theaters for a cume of $36.4 million in its first 10 days.
